Educators facilitate learning with technology to support student achievement of the ISTE Standards for students. Deaf students rely heavily on visual input when learning. Therefore, it is important for educators of the deaf to utilize technology to provide ample visuals for their students. Using technology to provide visuals in the Deaf classroom can look projecting the book on the board for all to see, using a colorful map of Disney to teach directions, using a PowerPoint with clipart when teaching phonics, or using an engaging YouTube video when teaching the months of the year. Technology has allowed me to display visuals that have proven to be beneficial to my clients’ and students’ creativity and conceptual understanding.
