Early Childhood-Grade 6 classroom teachers interact with students in respectful ways at all times, maintaining a physically and emotionally safe, supportive learning environment that is characterized by efficient and effective routines, clear expectations for student behavior, and organization that maximizes student learning. I have created multiple classroom layouts throughout my time at TCU specifically designed to accommodate the unique needs of a Deaf classroom at three different levels: preschool, elementary school, and middle school. I have also created classroom routines and rules for these three different age levels. These projects have allowed me to receive ample practice in designing a classroom, maximizing instructional time, managing transitions, and implementing behavior management systems.
