Early Childhood-Grade 6 classroom teachers use formal and informal methods to assess student growth aligned to instructional goals and course objectives and regularly review and analyze multiple sources of data to measure student progress and adjust instructional strategies and content delivery as needed. After conducting a pre-assessment at the beginning of each clinical semester, I developed goals for my clients and designed my first lesson plans of the semester to directly align with these goals. I developed all my lesson plans throughout the semester to meet these goals, however, aligning the first lesson plan to these goals was pivotal for me to obtain a thorough understanding of each client. At the end of each semester after conducting post assessment, I completed a summary of therapy for each client. This document details the client’s results on the pre-assessment, compares them to the results of the post assessment, and provides goal suggestions for their future clinician to assess.
